Safety in Design
Safe design integrates control measures early in the design process to eliminate or minimise risks to health and safety throughout the lifecycle of the built structure.
This course provides essential information for designers of buildings and structures regarding their obligations to ensure that their design is without risks to the health and safety of users. The legislative obligations of designers, those who commission design and those who control the final workplace will also be covered.
It will outline an integrated and structured risk management framework that can be used throughout the design process to identify and manage safety risks. This will equip participants to undertake a Safety in Design review of a building or structure.
The course is specifically developed for professionals who design buildings and structures as well as those who commission or manage the design of buildings or structures.
