CPP40811 Certificate IV in Access Consulting

This is a nationally recognised qualification in ‘Access to the Built Environment. Places are limited.

With the recent introduction of the Disability Access to Premises – Buildings Standards 2010, now is the perfect time to undertake this new qualification and be at the forefront of the latest developments in access to the built environment.

The course includes twenty Units of Competency required for qualification as an Access Consultant. It will be of enormous benefit to people and organisations with responsibility to improve access to buildings, facilities, parks, streetscapes, playgrounds and open spaces. This includes government staff, building certifiers, architects, building designers, asset managers, occupational therapists, educational institutions, hospitals and other organisations.

There is limited expertise Australia wide in this area. This course provides an excellent professional development opportunity, as well the basis for a leading edge career, with expanding employment opportunities, across a range of industries. Key Units of Competency include:

  • Applying building control legislation to assess buildings for access
  • Conducting building, aged care facility, transport premises, educational facility and outdoor recreation area access audits
  • Reading, Interpreting and Assessing Plans
  • Preparing Access Reports
On completion a CPP40811 Certificate IV in Access Consulting is awarded.
