IATA has a team of qualifed Access Consultants as well as experienced and qualified trainers with extensive expertise in a broad range of access issues. The team include access professionals who are Accredited or Associate Members of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia (ACAA), as well as other professional associations.
A number of team members are also qualified trainers and assessors some of whom have also undertaken access studies overseas. All IATA team members participate in continuing professional development programs to ensure relevancy and quality of the work undertaken. The team also includes award winning professionals in the access industry who have undertaken extensive access projects both within Australia and overseas.
Ms. Joe Manton - Director, Qualified Trainer and Assessor, Accredited Access Consultant and Industry Expert – Fellow of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia
Joe has undertaken access studies overseas and is a Fellow of the Williamson Community Leadership Program. She is an Accredited Access Consultant and Fellow of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia (ACAA), was inaugural Convenor of the Victorian Access Consultants Network (VACN), past Vice President of ACAA, a member of the Australian Institute of Training and Development (AITD) and an affiliate member of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors. Joe is a highly regarded industry expert and has been recognised for her work.
Joe has undertaken many hundreds of access audits and Audits as well as the development of many Disability Access and Inclusion Action Plans and other access research and improvement projects. She leads a multi-disciplinary team of experienced and qualified access professionals and trainers who have extensive skills gained from both professional and personal experience in addressing a wide range of access issues. Kellie Millar - Qualified and Accredited Access Consultant and Trainer
Kellie Millar Kellie has extensive experience both in Australia and the United Kingdom that provides the basis for a comprehensive and detailed Audit of access barriers and recommendations to remove these. Kellie’s understanding of technical access issues including relevant Standards and regulations provides the basis for high quality access audits. Her knowledge of technical access issues is second to none. She is an Accredited Member and Treasurer of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia (ACAA). Kellie is the Convenor of the (ACAA) Victorian Network. Cert IV TAE, Certificate IV in Access Consulting, LHA Registered Assessor.
Nicole Maslin – Research, Marketing and Community Engagement Consultant
Nicole Maslin is highly skilled in community engagement and has worked extensively with businesses and organisations to develop and improve services, programs, facilities and events which incorporate access for all. She is a dynamic business strategist with a Masters in Marketing. Nicole is past President of ‘Mainstreet’ Australia and has extensive experience in implementing a wide range of Good Access is Good Business initiatives. BA, GDB, Masters Marketing.
Michael Wheeler – Professional Development and Training Consultant, Qualified and Accredited Access Consultant
Michael Wheeler is a teacher with more than 25 years experience working in marginalised communities. He is a qualified trainer and assessor and has consulted on a variety of teaching mediums for use in training programs relating to universal access. He has undertaken access audits and appraisals on a range of community facilities and his project development and implementation skills are second to none. Michael is a member of the Victorian Institute of Teaching, an Accredited Member of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia and Secretary of Association of Consultants in Access Australia Victorian Network. Lucas Wheeler - Qualified and Accredited Access Consultant, Training and Technical Communications Consultant
Lucas Wheeler is part of the IATA management and training team. He has been involved in a wide range of access initiatives and presents as part of the training and professional development team. His high level technical communication skills and creativity support development of a range of training mediums. Lucas’ perspective on issues relating to young people with access challenges provides a unique insight to IATA projects. He has completed a Bachelor of Business. Guest presenters in the IATA team include a range of access professionals such as architects, building surveyors, town planners and trainers with disabilities, as well as other professionals with extensive knowledge and skills. These presenters participate in sessions to provide specific information and perspectives based on their extensive experience to support a wide variety of educational and informative programs.
